Long-term relationships
With suppliers and customers alike, we would rather work together for years than once. That means clear terms and honouring what we agree.

About Unistec Ferrum
An induction furnace steel plant at Sahnewal Kalan, Ludhiana, turning ferrous scrap into steel ingots for rolling mills.
Our business
Unistec Ferrum Private Limited manufactures steel on the induction furnace route.
We melt ferrous scrap in our 9-tonne induction furnace, bring it to the composition our customers require and cast it into steel ingots. Rolling mills reheat and roll those ingots into the bars, rods and sections used across construction, engineering and manufacturing.
We keep our focus narrow: making good ingots, running the plant responsibly and dealing fairly with the suppliers and customers on either side of us.

Where we fit
Steel can be melted and made into new steel again and again. Our plant is built on that.
Vetted dealers and factories supply melting scrap, motor scrap and turnings.
We melt the scrap in our induction furnace and cast it into ingots.
Ingots are reheated and rolled into bars, rods and sections.
At the end of its life, steel returns as scrap and the cycle repeats.
How we work
With suppliers and customers alike, we would rather work together for years than once. That means clear terms and honouring what we agree.
A melt shop rewards routine. We track every heat from furnace to dispatch and send ingots out in an orderly sequence.
Recovered metal as raw material, close attention to yield and power use, and captive solar in our energy mix.
For scrap suppliers
Our induction furnace runs on ferrous scrap. We buy four grades, from vetted suppliers only.
