Our plant
An induction furnace melt shop.
A 9-tonne induction furnace at Sahnewal Kalan, Ludhiana, turning ferrous scrap into steel ingots heat by heat.

The heart of the plant
Our induction furnace.
Every heat we make is melted in this furnace.
In an induction furnace, alternating current flows through a water-cooled copper coil around a refractory-lined crucible. The changing magnetic field induces currents in the metal charge itself, heating it from within until it melts. No fuel is burned in the charge.
Induction melting is an electric, batch-based process. It lets us work heat by heat towards the grade each order needs.
Our process
Five steps, from yard to dispatch.
Good steel starts in the yard.
We melt ferrous scrap: melting scrap, motor scrap (stripped stators and rotors) and CNC and nut turnings, bought from vetted suppliers. Every incoming load is weighed and checked for moisture and dust before it is accepted.
Melting in the 9-tonne furnace.
The charge is loaded into our 9-tonne induction furnace and melted by electromagnetic induction. Each melt is a separate heat, with its own identity from furnace to dispatch.
Bringing the melt to grade.
Once molten, the steel is brought towards the composition the order requires through controlled alloy additions.
From liquid steel to solid ingot.
The molten steel is tapped from the furnace into a ladle and teemed into ingot moulds, where it cools and solidifies.
Planned, orderly delivery.
Ingots are identified by heat and dispatched to rolling mills in an orderly sequence, oldest heats first.

What we make
Steel ingots.
A steel ingot is a solid block of steel cast from a single heat. It is the starting point for rolled steel: rolling mills reheat our ingots and roll them into bars, rods, flats and sections.
Grades are agreed with each customer before production, and every heat is made with that requirement in mind.
Ingot enquiriesCaptive solar power
Renewable electricity where it counts.
In an induction melt shop, electricity is the main energy input to melting itself, so renewable power reaches the core of our operations.
Captive solar contributes to the electricity we use; it does not supply all of it. We do not describe our steel as certified “green steel” and we make no emissions claims.
For scrap suppliers
Supply scrap to our furnace.
Our induction furnace runs on ferrous scrap. We buy four grades, from vetted suppliers only.
- Melting Scrap
- Motor Scrap (stripped stators & rotors)
- CNC Turnings
- Nut Turnings
